New Kitchen Floor!
Upon noticing bubbles in the linoleum in January, Harry did further inspection and discovered that the "under-flooring" (see first photo) was totally soaked on all sides of the kitchen. Not a good sign! Further inspection revealed that there was a tiny drip coming from our clothes washer. Since the plumbing is behind and under a table (see last photo), we didn't realize this was happening until the damage was already done. What makes this a bit exasperating is that we are only renters, but responsible for anything that isn't a permanent fixture, including the flooring. So, because of a $1 faulty rubber washer, we had to spend multiple days (and about $90) to replace the flooring. We are glad that this project is crossed off the list!Read More
